Hi, I'm Lola

A math tutor from Belrose.

My philosophy as a tutor

My Tutoring

My goal as a teacher is actually to form in my students a thorough recognition and self-confidence in answering exam questions and managing to handle new issues. The base of my viewpoint is the idea that learning develops in an area of mutual appreciation where the person is stimulated to think and make connections for themselves. According to my experience one-to-one personal tuition has a unique importance to students through the opportunity to break down the students' own restraints to study in a way that lays the foundations for a lengthy and deep comprehension of the subject.

Analytic thinking

My approach depends on the student's learning style and needs. My teaching ideology is built upon inspiring learners to think for themselves, using real-world models as long as possible. |I feel that it is necessary to supply students with a working skills and to teach them analytical skill sets for improving upon this knowledge. Training a person to think critically is at the base of the things a child must take away from any subject class.

The most important contribution

Coaching scholars is among the most lasting contributions a coach are able to bring in, and it is a process, which I consider to be fun and rewarding. From my experience, I learned the value of involving children by means of examples and of delivering data at a degree that implies mentality but not always knowledge, blending the unknown with the known as a mix that provides the scholar the disposition of probability instead of that of impossibility that official and impressive ways can inflict.

Using a lot of practising

I start from themes the students are good with and step eventually towards more challenging fields seeing that their self-confidence is being raised. I choose examples and questions to test realising continually. I tend not to lecture to learners or request them to memorise information. Neither do I carry out the scholars' assignments for them!

I mainly involve exam-style or past paper questions to examine, work at and improve the child's accepting and performance. I will also give a lot of accent to some of the not so much obvious yet crucial skills for instance, logical thought, essay technique and structure, and the good use of numbers and graphs.

What I enjoy

What I enjoy

Gardening gives me immense pleasure. When I found seed sown by me growing into beautiful plants and flowering flowers, it gives me a great sense of fulfillment. I enjoy tendering my plants and sprinkling my garden every day. It provides me satisfaction and helps in keeping myself active and busy. I grow flowers and veggies in my backyard. The greenery of plants and sweet fragrance of flowers are the tonics for eyes and mind. In a world full of tension and smog, it is a great relief to see beautiful flowers and lovely plants.

About Myself as a tutor image

More about myself

Over the years, I have gotten a wide range of experience in tutoring. I have actually tutored age varying from 11-18 and likewise showed at both undergraduate and masters level. Along with this I currently show in secondary schools on subjects related to my research study. I appreciate this a great deal, as it puts trainees in contact with cutting-edge study at university, too helping me become aware just how to explain complex subjects in a reasonable way.
